I've just been informed that they might be making a new Nightmare on elm street. But as every knows (or dosen't) Robert Eclend plays Freddy cougar, and they might not put him as the new cougar. So do u think that Robert should be the original freddy, or should some 1 else be the new guy on elm street?

First off his name is Robert Englund, and it's Freddy Krueger, and yes I think Englund should still play "Freddy".

Just for clarification purposes. The actor is called Robert Englung and the character's name is Freddy Krueger.

I wonder if Rob Zombie will direct this one as well, like he did Halloween. I haven't watched slasher movies in a while. It's just not appealing to me anymore and Rob Zombie makes some weird movies even though his remake of Dawn of the Dead was ok but not great. It's just my opinion in the end anyway.

Well if you like your movie re-makes full of rape and sex, then I guess Rob Zombie would be a good choice. As for who plays Freddy Krueger, If it aint Robert Englund, it wouldn't be worth watching.

are you kidding? his halloween sucked compared to the original, i mean it "good" n all but it doesnt stad a chance against the original

nooooooo, this is where we disagree, i think it explained MM's coming up alot better than the originals, dont get me wrong i love the classics, i own them all, but out of the selection of horror movies i saw last year i have to saw his were the best ones.

that was the part i hated, you saw his face to much, you never saw it in the original,so it took away some of the creepiness to michael myers in my opinion, i liked picturing him in that pale white mask in the original, but in the remake i just imagine some chubby kid with long hair lol

If Robert Englund is not Freddy Then the Nightmare Ends.

Why would you even want to try to replace Robert with an actor that has to try to follow in his foot steps?

I met Robert and Heather last year at Chicagos Fangora convention. They are really great people, They both talked to me for what seemed like an eternity.
