right on, anime and manga facial expressions look so fake, like when there moth is on their chin.

anime sucks alot, it is just good looking drawing with $h!tty animation. Cartoons like bugs bunny and duck dodges beats every type of anime.

I like them both, but I like anime more.

Anime shows tend to have a much deeper and more intriguing storyline than others, as well as killer fight scenes that can't be done in real life.

Cartoons have little to no plot and senseless violence that is addictively fun to watch, such as Bugs Bunny. However, they can become dull very quickly.

In my opinion, anime is better. But, it is just my opinion. The question's answers will vary because not everyone likes anime, or cartoons. It's either one or the other, or not at all. The opinion will change depending on who you ask.

Who the hell still watch Bugs Bunny? Cartoons are repetitive pieces of sh**. One character chases down the next and they never catch them i.e. Wild E. Cayote and the Roadrunner, Tom and Jerry, etc. At least anime teaches people to follow their dreams and to never fear the unkown. Anime is way better.

Anime.

It's basically that simple. I for one don't like a lot of American cartoons, but there are some good ones (Family Guy, Futurama, ATHF, etc..). It's just that you can't classify anime as a whole I think. Theres planty of anime out there, ranging from Hello Kitty to Hellsing. Saying anime is stupid, you're calling all of the shows dumb. I find, some, anime stupid, but not all. Just because you saw a bad show or two doesn't mean they all suck. Same goes for cartoons.

You shouldn't be comparing anime and american cartoons, because they are two different things altogether. American cartoons are made strictly with comedy in mind, and often are targeted toward childern.

Anime, on the other hand, is often targeted towards teenagers to young adults in Japan. It has a sophisticated storyline, characters who actually develop, and some of the most beautiful music and animation you can ever see. If you say it's choppy, you've been watching DBZ too long. Try watching IGPX. It flows like water.
