Review: Sam & Max Episode 2: Situation: Comedy

Sam & Max: Situation: Comedy brings the off-beat comedic crime-fighting duo back for a second case after their welcome return in Sam & Max: Culture Shock.

This time, the dog and rabbit detectives are trying to solve the mystery as to why a famous talk show host is holding her audience captive. The setting may be different, but the same colorful Sam & Max humor is here in full force.

FINAL VERDICT:

With each new episode, the Sam & Max franchise is undeniably proving its worth. Even with a few rough edges, Situation: Comedy meets or exceeds its predecessor in almost every way. The dialogue is better, the story is more interesting, and the puzzles feel like they serve more of a purpose. There are some problems, though, and if they persist or get worse throughout the remainder of the season the praise the franchise is receiving now could be quickly rescinded. But as it stands, Situation: Comedy is a great second act in Sam & Max's return to adventure gaming.
