Community Green
Missions also alleviate level grinds by presenting players with "quests" where all players must make par or better. If everyone fulfills the requirement, all players receive a prize or NG bonus. Players also share bonuses if their competitors make good or accurate shots. If you as a player will share in bonuses if your competitor makes par, you're far less likely to heckle them and more likely to instead cheer them on. The result of course is a friendly and helpful community which is all too often missing from most MMOs.

PROTIP: Join games with the maximum number of players. Since you will be sharing each other's NG bonuses the more people the better.
Shot-Online's beauty is its simplicity but also its limitation. A compact and free game is a wonderful thing, however, the developers were most assuredly working within a tight budget and sacrifices invariably had to be made. For all its solid game-play and streamlined interface, Shot-Online is a bit lean. There are only fourteen courses to play on with a maximum of four players in each game. The Town Square, which resembles a Disney land mini-golf course, during peak hours feels cramped and small. The weather physics fall well short of realism and certainly don't accurately recreate most real-world conditions. Even putting, once you get used to it, is a simple matter of calculating the slope and angle of the green. This can all be forgiven, however, considering that most players will keep returning for the solid and often addictive game-play as well as the community.
As players, we should all be singing the praises of Shot-Online from the highest tee because, in essence, we've been given a quality, free game absent of any misguided attempts at DRM, a proven business model that digital rights proponents can be proud, and a successful implementation of micro-transations that doesn't milk players for content that should have been included in the first place. In short, Shot-Online isn't just a good game, it is a game that is good for the industry.
Let's just hope The Industry takes notice.
PROTIP: While putting, remember that 50% is roughly 10 yards of distance
