Check out Star Trek: ConQuest Online, Genetic Anomalies' upcoming collectible strategy game, set in the Star Trek universe and playable exclusively online. Hey, I'll trade you my Bat'leth for your Borg Cube

Star Trek: ConQuest Online is a collectible strategy game similar to Magic: The Gathering. However, as the name implies, it will be playable only online and instead of cards, you will play with collectible game pieces that will exist solely on your computer. Each piece will be tracked and will range from common to extremely rare. Players will be able to buy, sell, and trade pieces just as they would collectible cards.

Playing as an immortal Q being, you will have control over a variety of characters, ships, and weaponry from the Star Trek universe, as you face off against other Q opponents for control of the galaxy. Each game will include three sets of pieces, representing the Federation, Klingon, and Borg. After choosing one set, players will be able to add to their collection with pieces available for sale on the web site. The game will incorporate a ranking system, so gamers will be able to play against opponents with similar skill levels.

Scheduled for release this spring, Star Trek: ConQuest Online should be just the thing to keep Star Trek fans glued to their computers for hours on end.
