Activision Officially Announces Call of Duty: United Offensive Expansion

New weapons, character abilities, as well as more modes of play for multiplayer.

Activision has confirmed that it is developing the expansion pack Call of Duty: United Offensive for the PC. The game will have a new single player campaign featuring the Battle of Kursk, the Battle of the Bulge, and the invasion of Sicily, with new weapons and character abilities. Multiplayer will be revamped as well, with more maps and new modes of play.

"Gray Matter Interactive has a great vision of how to bring these stories to life in Call of Duty: United Offensive, with incredible new effects and features that heighten the sense of realism, building on the best game of 2003 which has racked up over 70 Game of the Year and 50 Editors' Choice Awards worldwide."

Developed by Grey Matter Studios, Call of Duty: United Offensive is slated for a fall release.
