Battle the forces of the Dark Side in this action game designed for Dreamcast jedis.

Jedi Power Battles has slashed its way from the PlayStation to the Dreamcast-its Force flowing with tweaks and improvements. But be warned: A more accurate title for this game might be, "Jedi Jumping Battles." JPB has less extremely frustrating platform-hopping than the original, but an important part of the newest incarnation still involves pinpoint leaping that occasionally verges on maddening. However, if you have a high tolerance for falling repeatedly to your virtual death, JPB will reward you with spectacular visuals and hours of Star Wars fun.

Graphics:
A visual masterpiece, featuring nicely rendered cut-scenes and characters that are larger than their PlayStation counterparts

Sound:
Satisfying explosions, lightsaber swooshes, and that classic Star Wars score keep up with the visuals

Control:
Some spectacular special moves are hampered by extremely demanding pinpoint jumps

Fun Factor:
There's really no reason not to go out and purchase Jedi Power Battles right now-unless your lack of patience with platform-hopping will lead to anger, and anger leads to...you know the rest.
