Based on Todd McFarlane's comic series, Spawn hops from the arcade to the Dreamcast in this third-person action title. You must defeat bosses, guards, and other foes within a strict time limit. While tons of secret characters and weapons are available, Spawn's single-player game is a breeze, and the multiplayer Team and Battle Royal modes barely extend the replay value. Ultimately, only Spawn fans and Dreamcast action buffs should rent this hindered hell-raiser.
Graphics: Meticulously animated characters and detailed environments are wickedly faithful to Spawn's origins
Sound: Angry metal tunes and chittering gunfire round out the graphics
Control: The control scheme is hellish, as the goofy camera angles and slippery controls make it tough to track the frantic action.
Fun Factor: Though it had plenty of promise, Spawn is ruined by its awkward controls.
