The game's graphics are straight out of Power Stone and look very cool in that cartoonlike way, while the sound is typical Capcom silliness. With solid targeting and maneuverability, the controls are a breeze and give you plenty of attacks to choose from. Cannon Spike is very fun, at first, and challenging, depending on how you set the difficulty. But like all shooters, it becomes repetitive. Even the awesome Gallery of Capcom, which slowly unlocks character art each time you solve the game, won't inspire return visits. Nevertheless, Cannon Spike is worth a rental for a weekend of thumb-numbing action/shooting fun.
Graphics: Cool cartoony visuals will satisfy Capcom fans.
Sound: Standard fare for shooting games. The music doesn't really stand out, but it's not annoying either. Sound effects get the job done nicely.
Control: Smooth control is key for shooters and Cannon Spike doesn't disappoint. Very nice.
Fun Factor: For some shooting action with a twist, Cannon Spike is a ripping good time.
