The single player campaign rewards creeping via brush and bush with satisfying stealth kills, and staying directly out of harm's way keeps the intelligent and relentlessly violent mercs off your track. Dual wielding ups the artillery action, and Feral strength (experimental monster ability) lets you unleash beastly maneuvers on unsuspecting prey. Story wise, you're still Jack Carver, though the plot has been pinched a bit to better suit console play.
A full-featured map editor and 16-player online play puts multiplayer at the forefront, and nearly every swaying piece of foliage and stunningly realistic body of water makes Instincts a technical treat, especially in 480p.
