Shadow Man on the Nintendo 64 and the PlayStation may not have made the splash they should have, but Shadow Man on the Dreamcast is an excellent outing, thanks to superior sound and graphics. If you've been waiting to play this, buy yourself a Dreamcast and go!

Out of the Shadows
Acclaim loves to release their titles on every console system, sometimes it doesn't matter which version you choose to play, but it definitely does with Shadow Man. The Dreamcast version is an awesome game with it's creepy storyline (hunting serial killers through two worlds), gruesome graphics (with plenty of bloodied walls and decapitated enemies lurking about), and spine-tingling sound effects (including some unearthly screaming and wailing). Shadow Man is as great a game as Soul Reaver, albeit a tad harder.
The graphics have been cleaned up by the Dreamcast engine, and they now look better than the PC version of this game. Every light and corresponding shadow, every movement of the characters, and every background element is vivid and detailed.
The sound is an added element of quality that enhances this game. You'll hear devilish moaning and groaning, freakish whispering, and other sound effects straight from Hell's gate. If it weren't for the horrible Irish brogue of Mike LeRoi's snake buddy, Jaunty, the game would have been a sonic five star outing.
You the Man
Control is not as simple as it would first seem. There's lot's of menu switching for different items, and gaining some of those items takes a sufficient amount of skill and wits. If you're up to the challenge, however, you'll be rewarded with a fascinating, creepy game with a lot of depth and some real scares scattered throughout. Shadow Man is a red-hot chiller.
