Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Revenge of the Sith may not make good use of the DS's unique capabilities, but it's still an absorbing and enjoyable game.
Revenge of the Sith for the DS is essentially the excellent Game Boy Advance release, but with significantly improved audio quality, occasionally smoother graphics, and the addition of 3D space dogfights. Strangely, though this version sports a $10 higher price tag, it's missing the two-player cooperative mode.Except for that odd omission, the DS version boasts all the things that make its GBA counterpart shine: responsive controls, snazzy animation, an interesting upgrade system, and challenging boss battles. However, there isn't much use of the unique capabilities of the DS--the touch screen is used in the menus as an alternate way to trigger a handful of force techniques, and to distribute a ship's shield power. The 3D dogfights only really shine in multiplayer, but all non-AI participants must have their own copy of the game, and the presentation is brought down by some bland, pixilated textures.
Revenge of the Sith is great fun to play and as pretty to look at as its GBA brother, even if it is capable of better as a platform. If you don't mind missing out on cooperative play, and if the 3D dogfight addition appeals to you, it's certainly worth the extra ten bucks.
