There?s a plot, too -- some nonsense about a Dark Star hurtling toward Planet Bomber. No, Bomberman has always been about multiplayer mayhem with four humans, and Jetters provides enough creatively constructed arenas and options to keep vets and newbies alike enthralled for hours (anyone who?s played Bomberman can attest to the game?s addictive qualities).
Although the graphics are simple, they get the job done, and the only drawback is you can?t revert to the classic overhead ?flat? view (there?s an isometric slant). The sound effects shine, too (when they aren?t interrupted by the juvenile announcer), and the whimsical music strikes a ?bombing? mood.
Jetters may not have the multiplayer diversity of a Mario Party, but for primitive addiction, it plays to form.
