Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

The ultimate love letter to the ultimate Star Wars geek is here.

This under-appreciated sequel to one of the best Star Wars games ever got the critical shaft when it came out for the PC, yet it actually outshines its prequel in many ways. Academy focuses on the best elements of Jedi Outcast (fast-paced lightsaber combat and wicked Force abilities), discards the worst (jump puzzles, confusing levels, and long durations armed only with blasters), and lets you choose missions, Force powers, and whether or not you?ll become an agent for good or for evil. This time around, Dark Jedi twirl double-bladed and dual lightsabers, and cartwheel off walls while shooting at you with laser guns, but that's okay because so do you. After spending time in Luke Skywalker's dojo, you can levitate Sandpeople off the ground and hurl your lightsaber through their suspended bodies, toss Greedos off cliffs, mind-trick Stormtroopers into shooting one another, deflect thermal detonators back at enemies, and even push severed limbs across the room using the Force!

Though the A.I. is still on the ropes, improvements have been made to the controls?now you can map weapons and/or Force powers to face buttons, cutting down on some of the frustrating directional pad jockeying that made toggling in the middle of fights in Outcast so difficult. Star Wars geeks will dig the full-on Force battles between Chewbacca and Boba Fett in Multiplayer mode, others may tire of the game's pseudo-spiritual Light Side/Dark Side mumbo jumbo, but all will find the countless ways to slay imperial soldiers and crazed members of a Sith cult heavy. Damned heavy

This game looks cool but I own Star Wars Jedi Outcast II and that game looks a lot better than this one.
