No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way

Gaming?s sexiest secret agent is back, and just wait ?til you get a load of her.

With the new generation of first-person shooters coming out, it?s easy to overlook the ones that pass in the interim. A few words of wisdom for those seeking FPS love: Do not overlook NOLF2.

The Operative is Back
The sequel to one of PC gaming?s most fun titles, NOLF2 is a story-based FPS fan?s dream. Whereas the original made innovations in mission types, gadgets, and satirical feel, NOLF2 blazes all-new trails with even larger missions, outstanding graphics and sound, and a new skill system that?s best described as ?Deus Ex Lite.? The game?s single-player mode propels you through fabulously detailed settings and some genuinely funny moments, making NOLF2?s story one of the best to come to PCs in years.

Of course, an excellent story and a high concept can?t overcome a poor technical foundation, and NOLF2 delivers here, as well. Nearly flawless visuals and truly immersive sound make sure you?re having fun even when you?re not shooting. The controls, while a little complex with all the weapons and options you have, work flawlessly when it comes to shooting folks but less so when driving vehicles. Also, multiplayer out of the box is limited to cooperative play, though by the time you read this Sierra may have released a patch to add more multiplayer features.

Lookin? Good, Agent Archer
It may not be as flashy as UT 2003 or as insane as Doom 3, but NOLF 2 is still a great investment for those of you waiting for a great story-based FPS with true personality.
