It may not be Gears of War 3, but Epic's Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection offers up more than enough bang for any Lancer-toting fan's buck.

Back for the First Time
You wouldn't kiss your mother with Marcus Fenix's mouth. But the dedicated Gears of War protagonist is just as persistent and loyal as he is potty-mouthed and vulgar.
And in a sense, so is Epic Games.
They've managed to save their dedicated fans from falling off the cliff, dangling by their fingertips, patiently waiting for the next big moment in Gears history. That groundbreaking moment is now, as opposed to waiting for GoW3, distributed through a downloadable package on Xbox Live called the Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection. The package features seven new multiplayer maps, a deleted scene from Campaign Mode and 320 more obtainable achievement points. The collection also encompasses every GoW2 add-on to date, including the Flashback, Combustible and Snowblind map packs, totaling 19 in all.
Road to Ruin, the deleted scene's title, stars Marcus and Dom and places them deep in the action. Dom has discovered that his loving wife, Maria, is dead. Angered beyond control, it's up to Dom (you) to decide how the rest of the deleted scene will flow. By selecting Stealth Mode, the dynamic duo will dress up as Theron Guards, embodying locust costumes like it's Halloween. Instead of knocking on doors for candy, the tag team focuses on tip-toeing just out of locusts' sights and only attacking when the time is right. To ensure victory, players can choose to distract the locust horde with preset traps to keep them busy while you sneak by. Hilariously enough, they don't find it suspicious that two mischievous individuals are sticking to walls and wielding crystal blue lit-up lancers. The stealth gameplay truly isn't the Gears' style, but it's a nice little break from the normal run-and-gun scenarios. Unfortunately, there aren't any new, super enticing vehicles or enemies that pop up for your enjoyment. In all honesty, the quick 25-minute deleted scene ends before it begins.
If you want to beat it in normal COG fashion, head in guns blazing for a no-holds barred battle for domination -- at this point in the story, it seems more up Dom's alley anyway, as tear's stream down his face in agony. The scene changes a bit by selecting this mode, but nothing substantial. Either way, the deleted scene is worth your time. Just don't expect anything to make your jaw drop. You may, however, meet up with an old friendly face from the original Gears of War if you play your cards right...

First, and I have to be a prick about this so I apologize, but it's Marcus Fenix, not Phoenix....but that aside I thought the Road to Ruin scene was a good addition and its nice that they've offered a deleted scene to play through, it'd be nice if more developers and publishers did things like this. I thought that the stealth section, although not a good example of stealth, felt like, if Gears was to do stealth this is how it would be done: that summer blockbuster stealth, its obvious that the characters were sneaking and the "distractions" were so cheesy that they wouldn't catch the attention of a neurotic dog - and they couldn't keep it up all the way through, they had to go back to action in the end... but I agree, it doesn't feel like Gears, it feels like a Gears of War attempt at stealth and its fairly enjoyable to see that they were experimenting with some new things. Good review.
