UFC 2009 Undisputed (PS3)

Classic Fights mode challenges you to recreate similar endings to significant fights from UFC history. Rachelle Leah introduces the classic fight along with the original prefight hype video; the mode does a good job reminding us why these fights are such important parts of UFC's short history. The reward for completing each challenge is a highlight package of the actual fight but I sort of wish they had included footage of the entire fight instead.

UFC 2009 Undisputed does have a couple of issues that keep it from being a MMA-fan's dream come true but it is still a tremendous title that will make any fan of the sport proud. While it comes up a little short in terms of extra bells and whistles, the developers spent a lot of time refining the gameplay and control scheme, which is what matters most in the end. Instead of a watered-down product that tried too hard to appeal to a mass market audience, Undisputed manages to remain 100% faithful to the product and look spectacular while doing so. It not only manages to deliver the game the UFC faithful have been longing for but adds an entirely unique and excellent experience to the broader fighting game genre, which is why it's also a title that non-MMA fans should look into. Who knows, you might just find yourself becoming a dedicated supporter of this fantastic sport.

Would've been cool to have custom soundtracks for entrances, or entrances period.. hopefully they include that in the next game.

Run....do not walk to go buy this game! I have had a chance to get a sneak peek play of this game and this review is spot on! If you are a UFC fan you will love this game.

If you go to Game Stop or EB Games to buy you will get 2 exclusive fighters bringing the total fighters available to 82. Can't get the code online so you need buy there!

What's the weight limit for fighters when you make them? I heard it was only 235lbs.. if so that kinda sucks.. I wanna be able to make guys like Tank Abbott, Butterbean and Bob Sapp just for laughs.

nice - now I'm even more stoked to get this next week. I'm not sure I need the additional DLC's so I think I'll do the best buy preorder since they'll give me a ufc dvd, a $10 gift card and $10 ppv cash coupon. But the game looks def worth the money either way....

Career mode is way deeper than Fight Night.....and not as annoying. Alot of funny comments from Dana as you play....very true to the UFC show. The moves are alot deeper than what you get to experience in the downloadable demo.....whether you buy it at Best Buy, Walmart, Gamestop, whatever...pick it up!

the only thing I didn't like about the game was the submissions, which made you circle the right stick while pressing the face buttons, it just felt awkward. Other than that the controls were great.
