Sega Bass Fishing 2

The follow-up to Sega?s outstanding fishing game sadly doesn?t make a big splash on the Dreamcast.

The sequel to one of the best fishing games ever unfortunately delivers nothing but a fishy stench instead of a prize catch-of-the-day. Bass Fishing 2 has been completely re-created for a more realistic, angler feel. Bass 2 now features real-life lakes and their complete ecology, while weather and time of day greatly effects the mood of the fish. The most apparent change in Bass 2, however, is the fishy?er, fish A.I. The bass now won?t even look twice at your bait unless it meets specific conditions: i.e., arcade gameplay has been replaced by frustration, as you wait in boredom just for a nibble on the hook. Bass 2 has been given a facelift, but the sounds remain the same. If you want a true fishing experience, go out and cast out a line yourself?it?s not worth the agony of waiting for a few fish bites in a game.
