MLB 2002
MLB 2002 steps up to the PlayStation plate one final time. Is it a memorable last dance or just a quick update? Read on.
Baseball fans were split last year between EA Sports? Triple Play franchise and 989?s MLB series, both of which produced their finest iterations yet for the original PlayStation. Once again, they?re the top two prospects, but MLB 2002 has turned out to be little improved over its previous version. Being the last of the current crop of baseball games to hit the market has enabled 989 Sports to have the most up-to-date rosters and the longest laundry list of features possible. The buying choice this year is a fairly easy one, as the new offerings have not changed very much at all. It comes down to whether you prefer the presentation and atmosphere of Triple Play to the interface and shine of MLB. Surprisingly, 989 has strengthened MLB?s baseball simulation, so take that into consideration when deciding who to back in the PlayStation World Series.
