Lego Island 2: Brickster?s Revenge

Stop the Brickster and his rampaging Brick-Bots from wreaking havoc on Lego Island in this new adventure for the Playstation

The nefarious Brickster has escaped his plastic prison and unleashed his robot brood to terrorize Lego Island in this lackluster action/adventure sequel for the Playstation.

As ace pizza delivery boy, Pepper, your quest is to locate scattered pages from The Infomaniac?s Constructopedia that will rebuild the Lego homes Brickster destroyed during his escape. You journey throughout staple Lego worlds such as an Egyptian desert, a medieval castle, and the far reaches of space as you search for the missing papers.

While the blocky graphics suit the Lego environment and the frame rate is smooth, the backgrounds are devoid of detail and sparsely populated. The control scheme is intuitive, but suffers from tepid gameplay, stubborn camera movement, and shoddy collision detection. The music is charming, though repetitive, and the sound effects are generic. Though Lego Island 2 is obviously geared towards kids, even younger gamers may find themselves turning off the Playstation and raiding the toy chest for the real things instead.
