Illbleed

Who wants to be a millionaire? Grab a tourniquet and see if you can survive a night with this sickeningly weird twist on the survival/horror genre.

Tired of mowing down legions of moaning zombies with a sawed-off shotgun? Then maybe you should try Illbleed, Jaleco?s intensely strange twist on the glutted survival/horror genre.

Your goal in Illbleed is simply to avoid being scared to death by the bloody, bizarre ?attractions? in a crazed millionaire?s theme park. The graphics move at a high frame rate, but suffer from stiffly animated characters and some flat, repetitive textures. Still, the sounds are scary and cut-scenes are loaded with weird, grotesque surprises?not to mention tons of blood. A lame camera and poor controls make battles extremely frustrating, but you spend most of your time monitoring your four senses and using your patented Horror Monitor headset to detect, avoid, and disarm the park?s nightmarish traps.

Illbleed scores major points for twisted originality, even if unfocused and clunky execution keeps it from turning horror on its gory, severed ear.
