Worms World Party

Life must move pretty slow from a worm?s perspective, which might explain this yawner of a game.

Life must move pretty slow from a worm?s perspective, which might explain this yawner of a game. The Worms franchise?based loosely on shareware game Scorched Earth?has been out for years on the PC. Now the turn-based, destroy-the-enemy-army game has arrived on the Dreamcast, complete with online play.

World Party?s simple goals and humor are universal, and can easily be enjoyed worldwide?but the game?s dragging pace and frustrating gameplay will have you swearing at the screen no matter what language you speak. The controls and menus are nonintuitive, and a single slip of a finger can blow (up) a whole game. Worms is meant to be played with another human; the computer rarely misses a shot. All in all, you?ll want to let this one off the hook.
