989 Sports takes the ice in this souped-up hockey sim. Does FaceOff win in overtime or does it have to sit in the penalty box?

Sadly, 989 Sports? PS2 lineup has bombed, and while NHL FaceOff 2001 is one of the beleaguered Sony studio?s better efforts, it?s still a sorry sight. Unfortunately, FaceOff?s few successes can?t redeem its laundry list of woes. When the final whistle blows, there?s just no reason to step onto this ice. Stick with the far, far superior NHL 2001 for your PS2 hockey cravings.
