Super Paper Mario

Super Paper Mario is coming ONLY to the Wii, but you're going to have to wait until April to bring it home.

It looks like another Mario game is getting yet another delay.

According to the latest issue of Nintendo Power, Super Paper Mario is now been pushed back to April, but the good news is that it looks as if that is set in stone. For those who've been keeping up, Super Paper Mario was first going to be released on the GameCube, but now is destined for the Wii as the GameCube's life cycle quickly comes to an end.

The latest information pins the game as a combination of 2D and 3D gameplay controlled by holding the Wii Remote sideways. The style of play brings slight comparisons to Viewtiful Joe's unique blend of 2D side-scrolling mixed with 3D-esque backgrounds, but of course the gameplay defined by the Paper Mario series will make Super Paper Mario a unique hybrid experience.

As with the previous Paper Mario installments, we expect Super Paper Mario for the Wii to be another long, intricate, and fun journey for Mario.
