Tamagotchi: Party On!

Namco Bandai reveals its first Wii game, and it's the cutest dang thing you've ever seen!

From the makers of the Tamagotchi digital pets that infested youth culture like an infectious disease, comes the first Wii game to use ludicrously cute Tamagotchi characters in a 3D party game. Chock full of addictive mini-games, Tamagotchi: Party On! utilizes a variety of Wii remote movements to make your Tamagotchi the future president of Tamagotchi Planet.

Vote for Mii!

STORY: The premise of Tamagotchi: Party On! is like Mario Party mixed with a junior-high election. The goal is to campaign your Tamagotchi character through a popularity contest of an election to become the planet president. However it's spun, Party On! is essentially one giant board game where, like Monopoly, spaces trigger specific events or random results.

GAMEPLAY: But don't call it Tamagopoly quite yet. Most spaces activate mini games that require you to swing, smack, and swipe the Wii remote in a variety of events that range from easy to surprisingly tricky. The roll of a die tells you how far to go, and there are a variety of towns to visit on your campaign tour to make your candidate stand out.

Just as the original Tamagotchi pets are inherently addictive, so are the quirky mini games that make up the majority of gameplay in Party On!. Because the game is, at its core, a board game, one Wii remote can be passed around with up to four players, one for each candidate. When a player rolls the die, he/she either lands on a space that triggers a mini-game event, a chance event, or an opportunity to splurge at the shop to customize your character's political headquarters.
