Via Xbox Live, Project 8 tracks nearly all of your stats and uploads them to a global leaderboard where you can see how you rank against others. You want competition; see if you can get within the real top 8 -- against the best in the world.

There's also the multiplayer aspect, which allows for up to eight players to compete in all the classic multiplayer modes, as well as some new ones. Walls places a trailing wall behind each skater which gets longer as you nail tricks. Try and box in your opponents for the win, it's like Tron on skateboards.

Although we couldn't touch, we did get to see the PS3 version up and running. In comparison to the Xbox 360's Project 8, the PS3 version will look identical; no 1080p support said Neversoft. And on top of that, there will be no online component. That's right, you're stuck with two-player only modes. But on the up side, Neversoft did reveal the PS3 version will have some bonus features, but we'll have to wait and see just what those are.

Overall, Tony Hawk's Project 8 is shaping up to be the best Tony Hawk game since THPS 2, and that's saying a lot.
