Angel Studios, one of the industry's busiest developers, is building a PS2 upgrade to Infogrames' long-running Test Drive series. Time to take out your PS2 and get it dirty!
So you have your shiny new PS2 at home. Now it's time to take it out and get it dirty! Angel Studios, one of the industry's busiest developers, is building a PS2 upgrade to Infogrames' long-running Test Drive series with Test Drive Off Road: Wide Open. You'll get to drive Humvees, Jeep Wranglers, Ford trucks, and more four-wheeled monsters over the rough terrain of real-world locations such as Utah, Yosemite, and Hawaii. You'll have over 16 vehicles at your disposal, each one ultimately customizable with better parts and new paint jobs. The game has more than 30 tracks with a wide open, go-anywhere feel, similar to that of Angel Studios' other off-road racer, Smuggler's Run. Wide Open should ship next summer, but for now here are some early screenshots to whet your appetite.
