All the PC gamers are screaming about Unreal Tournament. Well, strap yourselves in, console kids, because that whole Unreal experience is on its way to your Playstation 2.
Climb The LadderIn case you haven't been paying attention, all the PC gamers have been screaming about Unreal Tournament for months now. UT is the first-person shooter that took on Quake 3: Arena, and many say it took home the trophy. Well, strap yourselves in, console kids, because Epic and Infogrames are bringing that whole Unreal experience to your Playstation 2 on Launch Day.
Unreal Adjustment
Obviously, to make a great PC game into anything more than a decent console game, you have to make a few tweaks here and there, and you can all relax, Epic's made the right ones. While you can plug in a USB mouse and keyboard and play WASD-style (PC gamers know the jargon), all of you Dual Shock 2 junkies won't be left in the cold, because UT for PS2 uses both analog sticks with high precision and even auto-aims so you can hunt down those elusive LPBs. Though actually.
No Ping
you won't have problems with low pingers getting you down, because UT for PS2 won't support any kind of Internet play, a sad fact when one considers how awesome the PC version is over the 'net. Still, don't count UT out yet! Using the PS2's net-link capabilities and a handful of TVs, you'll be able to link a number of PS2s together and have a kickass LAN party, blasting your buddies into gibs well into the night. If you're into hardcore, hyper-real first-person deathmatches, then you will definitely want to sign up for Unreal Tournament on October 26.
