In the future, Tokyo is ruled with an iron fist, but music, skating, and graffiti are the outlets for the subjugated youth. A pirate radio station named Jet Grind Radio inspires the street savvy gangs to fight for freedom. You'll skate through the streets throwin' up your tags, ripping tricks, and dodging the police and rival gangs as you fight to free the minds of the masses. You can pick from a selection of funky characters, each with their own skating ability and graffiti style. The game's graphics feature blacklining that gives the characters a cartoony look, while the background art is more tilted towards the realistic. The downtown Tokyo scenery is complete with moving traffic, pedestrians and, of course, lots of jumps and rails to grind on. Jet Grind Radio even lets you customize your graffiti tags for a personalized look; you can pick from a selection of ready to go artwork (you can unlock even more), or design your own in the art studio.
