There's no shortage of mech games bound for the PS2, but Zone of the Enders adds a unique style to the action. ZOE can be played in first or third person perspectives, and mech warriors can duke it out at long range with missiles and other projectile attacks or close in for the kill with hand-to- hand combat and energy blade weapons and shields. If you choose to go toe-to-toe, the computer controlled mechs will match tactics with surprising accuracy. Anime-style 3D cut scenes will layer on a good story line to compliment the intense combat. The in-game graphics display excellent frame rates as well as destructible environmental objects like buildings that explode with dramatic realism. Zone of the Enders will make its Japanese PS2 debut in February.
