Donkey Kong 2001 Game Boy Color

Nintendo's big ape swoops onto the Game Boy Color. Can he get the job done or will he just monkey around?
Released at the tail end of the life cycle for the SNES, the original Donkey Kong Country redefined what that classic console was capable of doing. Donkey Kong Country 2001 looks to do the same for the Game Boy Color, and probably will succeed. It's an amazing accomplishment that the Game Boy's 8-bit workhorse CPU can come so close to mimicking the Computer Graphic look of the SNES version. Gameplay is also a winner, although Donkey's jumps do seem to be a bit too high for the small screen. Check out the shots and judge for yourself!
