Get ready for some hot 3rd person shooting action when X Squad hits the PS2 this fall. Terrorists have taken over a secret military complex and it's up to you and your three squad members to save the day. While X Squad features mostly weapons-based combat, the game automatically switches to a simple hand to hand mode when you move in close. You can trade weapons and items with team members and issue basic orders like attack and cover, but make no mistake, X Squad isn't a sim; it's hardcore action. Weapons like the sniper rifle, handguns, shotguns, various automatic weapons, explosives, and rocket launchers help you serve up justice. The game has been beefed up from the Japanese version with better enemy AI, and there are three levels of difficulty for a range of challenges. Look for X Squad to be in the PlayStation2 launch lineup on October 26th.
