Sega's legendary role-playing series is about to storm onto the Dreamcast in a big way. Phantasy Star Online will continue the classic series known for its deep story line and huge worlds -- but not as a sequel. Instead, PSO will be a spinoff of the popular RPG with an emphasis on online gameplay via the Dreamcast's built-in modem. You'll be able to create your own quest in the Phantasy Star world, form a four-person party by conducting searches for other adventurers with similar goals and quests, and communicate with players in real time by using symbols and preset phrases. Up to four gamers will be able to play simultaneously in a single quest, while Sega's server promises to support thousands of players at a time. Get ready for the next generation of role-playing fun!
