Aspiring spell-casters will soon be able to don the robes of a powerful wizard in Sacrifice, a 3D real-time strategy game that puts one to four players on a fantastical floating island to battle for supremacy. Competing wizards will have an arsenal of 50 spells at their disposal and will be able to summon a variety of creatures, from goblins to dragons, to do their bidding. The complex resource management of other RTS games has been simplified in Sacrifice, allowing the players to focus on mage-to-mage combat. Developed by Shiny Entertainment, the twisted minds behind such games as Earthworm Jim and MDK, Sacrifice is guaranteed to include the team's trademark off-the-wall humor, eye-popping graphics, and addictive gameplay. Sacrifice will conjure its way into stores in winter 2000.
