Square fans will remember Parasite Eve as the first game to try to bridge the gap between RPGs and survival horror, and PEII promises to bridge that gap even further. Aya Brea, the heroine from PE, is now a hunter of monsters mutated by the mitochondrial parasites that plagued the first game in the series. Electing to take a more Resident-Evil-type combat system, this sequel should deliver a more action-based punch than its somewhat slow and confusing predecessor. Look out for Parasite Eve in mid-September.
