The colorful dragons, enemies, and worlds of Spyro are returning to PlayStation. The purple dragon is back for his third adventure, tasked with retrieving the stolen eggs of his dragon civilization. The object of the game is to collect nearly 150 dragon eggs, each of which when found, open up to reveal a baby dragon that does a little dance or clumsily falls down. During the egg hunt, Spyro will collect gems to pay bridge tolls, breathe fire on monsters, and melt evil snowmen, all with tight control. Year of the Dragon has a bunch of minigames including skateboarding, sniper shooting, and two player boxing. There are also four playable critters each with unique skills such as Sgt. Byrd, the rocking launching flying penguin and Sheila the high jumping kangaroo, capable of delivering devastating kicks. Yes, Spyro is back, in all his cute addictive glory.
