The Race is On!Anyone older than 20 or so should remember Hanna-Barbara's Wacky Races, a crazy cartoon in which all sorts of wild racing teams aimed for the finish line in some of the most insane racing vehicles ever seen. In the Dreamcast version, you'll take control of eleven of these wacky racers, from the Ant Hill Mob to Dirk Dastardly and Muttley, as you try to take the title of Wackiest Racer of All.
Wacky Funsters
The racing will be good ol' fashioned mascot kart-style racing, in the vein of Mario Kart and Crash Team Racing. Each track will have a number of challenges that will allow you to win golden stars and unlock even more difficult courses. As you race each track, you'll want to look out for coins, which power your three selectable weapons and allow you to take your enemies out of competition.
Redlining, Blacklining
Wacky Races features that most trendy of graphical gimmicks, the realtime blacklining, but it looks very nice. Your car looks like a polygonal cartoon machine, and you'll hear all the sound bites and crazy noises you'd expect from a Hanna-Barbara cartoon. If Wacky Races can muster up quality controls to match its awesome visuals and sound, then gamers should be revvin' to go on June 28.
