If Infogrames gets their way later this month, RPG fans will find out that the world is not Square when Koudelka hits the streets. Playing as a magical lady named Koudelka, you'll have to uncover the mystery of an ancient monastery overrun with monsters and evil magic. Somewhat of a mix between Resident Evil, Parasite Eve, and the Sega Saturn's Shining Force III, Koudelka involves you in turn-based strategic combat in which your characters act as 3D modeled chess pieces, shooting guns, swinging knives, and casting spells to dispatch the enemy. Awesome cutscenes and an intriguing storyline (not to mention a daring hemline) make Koudelka the one to watch in late June.
