Star Trek fans can look forward to sitting in the captain's chair once again when Interplay and 14 Degrees East launch Star Trek: Starfleet Command Vol. II: Empires at War. Apart from an impressively long title, SFC II will feature 80 new missions, 250 new ships, and 20 new ship models, all within an improved 3D graphics engine that will allow for realistic damage to ships and better lighting and weapon effects. All of the original six empires will return (The Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, the Hydran Kingdom, the Gorn Confederation, and the Lyran Star Empire), and new campaigns will be included for the Mirak and the ISC. With the improved control system, you'll be able to direct your fleet without leaving the tactical command of your own ship. Look for Star Trek: Starfleet Command Vol. II: Empires at War when it beams into stores this winter.
