Hasbro Interactive is gearing up for the release of NASCAR Heat, a racing game that should appeal to both casual racers and diehard racing sim fanatics. A Normal mode will let novice drivers jump right onto the tracks, while the Expert mode will give virtual mechanics the chance to completely tweak their cars, from the sway bars to the spoiler. Apart form the standard Single Race and Championship modes, a Race the Pro mode pits you against actual races recorded by NASCAR drivers. Additionally, NASCAR Heat will include a Challenge mode, similar to Gran Turismo's license tests, in which a series of challenges will test your skills and increase your driving expertise. Look for NASCAR Heat when it races into stores in October.
