The Japanese release of Eternal Ring will finally show RPG fans what the Playstation2 can do. This first-person adventure features everything you would expect from the 128-bit machine and then some. Dazzling cinema scenes combined with seamless motion create environments with which no other currently-available console can compete. Eternal Ring is also stuffed with tons of weapons, magic, and nasty monsters, all presented in full PS2 glory. From Software has concentrated on creating intense graphics and a smart AI so every monster has its own creepy routine. Eternal Ring should lead the way into the next generation of console RPGs later this year.
