Back in 1996, Empire Interactive released a game that had been floating around as shareware for a few years. A turn-based science fiction strategy game called Stars!, it received critical acclaim and achieved a strong cult following. Now, fans will be soon able to get their hands on the long awaited sequel, Stars! Supernova. With a host of new features, including updated art and music, smarter AI, and a scenario editor, Stars! Supernova should please fans of the original while appealing to a broader audience, as well.As the leader of a race facing destruction from an impending supernova, your job will be to guide your civilization to the safety of a new home. Along the way you will negotiate with other races, form alliances, establish borders, and engage in interstellar warfare, while dealing with diplomats, pirates, and alien caravans offering information and new technology. Solo play will be available, as well as multiplay for up to 16 players via the internet or email. Expect Stars! Supernova to navigate onto store shelves in August.
