Join the forces of the 45th Volunteers Squadron and battle for control of the solar system in StarLancer, the latest 3D space combat game from the creators of Wing Commander. Players should expect Hollywood-style drama and special effects as the story unfolds in over 25 missions, ranging from escort to assault. Developer, Digital Anvil, is creating a populated universe, where ships will be seen flying about, performing their normal activities. More than 80 spacecraft will be represented, over a dozen of which will be playable, as well as over 20 weapons, including nova cannons, pulse lasers, and jackhammer missiles. Starlancer is scheduled for a spring 2000 release.
