Gamers become situationally aware of the potential awesomeness of this next-gen FPS.
Screens of this game don't do it justice. Not by a long shot. A leaked video posted online a few months back showing off Advanced Warfighter in-game play deservedly garnered gunning jeers of joy. Sure, Ghost Recon 2 was, to say the least, disappointing and didn't quite live up to the Tom Clancy virtua standards--but so far, Advanced Warfighter is on track to redeem the series. This new Ghost Recon will once again be based on near-future real U.S. military tactics, which means that every soldier is outfitted with advanced communications systems. The idea is for you to have complete awareness of the battlefield, which will allow you to easily direct allied troops, order air strikes, and obtain visual reconnaissance.
Beyond just being the only modern and realistic military shooter due out at the Xbox 360's launch, Ghost Recon is already getting plenty of buzz for its stunning visuals; the leaked video showed off eye-popping shockwave effects that looked amazingly lifelike. And from what we can tell, the gameplay will be truly immersive. Will Advanced Warfighter stay on target or fire blanks? We're obviously hoping for the former, and so should you.
