187 Ride or Die

Ride or Die? The latter option seems more pleasant so far.

187 Ride or Die seems to be shaping up to be a amalgamation of so many abrasive themes that it's hard to predict what really lies under its hood.

187's gameplay features an arcade style racer mixed with a competitive combat theme under the guise of an adolescent unsophisticated urban gang premise. Players will assume the role of up incoming banger Buck who must takeout an encroaching crew through a number of death races. 187 features a total of 5 different types of races, all of which blend into one monotonous experience, Burnout type crash cut scenes, which actually detract from gameplay because you still maintain control even though the camera switches focus to the crashing vehicle, and a schizophrenic Co-op system. The PlayStaion 2 version faired slightly better than the Xbox version due to the controller button configurations.

Overall, the game engine still has time to be tweaked, but the plot needs a script doctor badly.
