Think about it: if you really had a special suit that let you stop, slow down, or reverse time, what would you do?
Think about it: if you really had a special suit that let you stop, slow down, or reverse time, what would you do? Yeah, you might be tempted to spend a good portion of your time leisurely stalking pretty women like the hero of Nicholson Bakers naughty novel The Fermata. But if youre retired Colonel Albert Swift you dont have (ahem) time for hanky-panky. In a plot straight out of Star Trek, one blip in the space-time continuum has wreaked havoc in the universe, spiraling into a steam-punk alternate reality ruled by a fascist ?ber-villain. So now it's time to put on that Quantum Suit and undo the damage caused by that pesky time-meddler.Members of the rebellion will assist you, supplying cover fire and extra weapons, including a sweet Swarm Cannon. The game looks tasty, with smooth textures and lighting that really make the third dimension pop out. But you have to go beyond that right into the fourth dimension, because the neat twist is this otherwise standard FPS is, naturally, the ability to manipulate time. You can freeze time and run past the oblivious enemies, or slow it down and blast away, causing their body parts to burst apart, little balls of blood pirouetting like a scene out of a Sam Pekinpah-induced hallucination. Think that gives you too much power? Think again. We suspect there are plenty of obstacles that will require full use of all your time tricks.
