A century of bloody civil war, during which warlords ripped Japan apart, provides the rich historical setting for this real-time strategy game. Namco claims the game will bring PC-style gameplay to the DS, and while that's a little hard to believe, the screenshots show creative use of the dual-screen feature: troop movements shown below while points on a map come to life in 3-D on the screen above. And with up to 16 players competing in the wireless multiplay mode, Shogun Warrior should produce quite a few challenges for the amateur military tactician.

Going it alone, you play as one of two feuding noble samurai brothers scheming to take over the nation, by staging battles, hiring assassins, and employing diplomacy--in essence, using every trick in the book to get Japan in the palm of your hand. Just like the real warlords did.
