Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Bose

Unlike another much anticipated Episode II, this one has no overweight Jedi.
The long-awaited second installment of the budding sci-fi epic RPG Xenosaga is on its way. Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Bose will be a direct extension of the first Xenosaga story line and will hopefully reveal the answers to the cliffhanger mysteries left unsolved from the first installment. Episode II promises to uncover the mysteries concerning the true form of Chaos, the relationship between Shion and Jin, and Jr.'s connection to Momo, and to further reveal another facet to the mysterious Zohars artifact.Episode II will feature the entire original cast from the first game. Shion, Kos-Mos, Chaos, Jr., Albedo, and Margulis will all be present, but the game will feature at least two new characters?Shion?s brother Jin and a mysterious red-haired stranger. Also new to the Xenosaga universe will be two new larger mechs, the E.S. Asher and the E.S. Isaachar.
Gamers can expect the same mechanics as those of the first installment of this series with several fine-tuned tweaks and graphical redesigns. Episode II will feature an enhanced battle interface, more outdoor environments with weathering effects, and improved load times between adventure and battle modes. Character designs have been minutely altered from the first game and seem to be more physically mature.
The true mystery concerning Episode II is whether gamers will be able to take a more interactive role in this RPG sequel. The first game had over 30 hours of cinematic cut-scenes and a drastically linear path, which left players feeling like they were viewing a movie rather than playing a game. Xenosaga II is still in its preliminary stages, so stay tuned for future developments.
