Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto?s Rampage

Worlds collide as Crash Bandicoot winds up sharing space with Spyro the Dragon in not one but two GBA games.

If you think Crash Bandicoot Purple seems strangely similar to Spyro Orange, you?re not crazy. With the exception of different scenery and a different hero, Purple and Orange share the same platform jumping, side-scrolling action, story, and gameplay.

In single-player mode, you guide Crash through both his and Spyro?s worlds, with Spyro showing up from time to time to offer guidance. Like Spyro Orange, you unlock portals to gain entrance to other worlds or to collect gems and trading cards, though in the preview build, Crash didn?t do much other than jump and spin between platforms, facing enemies that weren?t particularly challenging. The mini games ranged from Crash breaking crates to maneuvering around a map in a tank. Most were challenging?a simple misstep and you had to start over?but the game as a whole may wind up a little devoid of replay value.
