Growlanser II and III come stateside in a single package.
The Growlanser series has had a devout cult following in Japan due to its open-ended story line, NPC interactions, and having so much to unlock that you need to finish the game eight times to see it all. The series is coming to the U.S. as Growlanser: Generations, a compilation of Parts II and III.The preview version of II features slightly dated looking 2D graphics that still manage to retain an attractive anime flavor. The turn-based battles require you to intelligently plan your moves as objectives can change depending on how successful you are. One downside of the game is the vague stats, making you unsure of how much you can move in one turn. Still, with its branching dialogue and romantic interactions with NPCs, Growlanser: Generations has the potential to build its own following here.
